It's Throw Back Thursday so we thought we'd re-visit some of the lessons-learned from our Executive Partner Summit. We had a blast at the event and even better were the sessions from Keynotes like Eric Sherman, Senior Manager of Acquisition for Rue La La and Kelly Perdew , Co-Founder and CEO at TargetClose. They had a brilliant panel that looked at retail advertising from two directions - as a seller and an agency.

DNT Fails at Balancing Consumer Privacy and Advertiser Concerns

In August, Trueffect announced that we would no longer be supporting the Do Not Track initiative. We laid out our reasons in that post, but it came down to the simple fact that we don’t think DNT is the right solution for balancing consumer rights with advertiser interests.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 10 and Trueffect Changes To Do Not Track

A few weeks ago, we posted a Do Not Track (DNT) Field Guide describing DNT and the considerations that come along with it.  Following that post, we conducted a data analysis to measure the impact that DNT, and more importantly the auto-enabled setting in Microsoft Internet Explorer 10 (IE10) is having on measurement, in order to re-affirm our position on how to best treat this directive on behalf of our customers.
